About this deal

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. This translates to “height of arrows” as it was believed this was as high an archer could shoot an arrow. The data collected including the number visitors, the source where they have come from, and the pages viisted in an anonymous form. Personally I am not a gin drinker, however I am an enthusiastic and attentive host and we had a birthday party at our home yesterday with over 40 adult guests for me to try these two products out on, side by side. Height of Arrows is a gin that allows gin fans to explore a new direction in modern gin making; one that elevates today’s gin drinking experience.

SIP OR MIX - Height of Arrows is right at home in your favourite gin glass with tonic, and its elegant, complex flavours, make it the perfect gin for cocktails like the Martini, Gibson, and Negroni. Height of Arrows is made using just three ingredients - juniper, Isle of Skye sea salt and natural beeswax. If you can justify the cost get a bottle of the "Bright" as well because they really are very different and elicit a variety of different reactions when enjoyed side by side which gave our party a fun focus point! Nose: The higher ABV and increased botanical mass really jump out the glass, with big aromas of piney juniper and zesty citrus, the latter of which are more prominent than in Original. In the event of any safety concerns or for any other information about a product please carefully read any instructions provided on the label or packaging and contact the manufacturer. It demonstrates the influence of our iterative, holistic approach, who we are as distillers, and where we are going as whisky makers. With the opportunity to bring single malt distilling back to the centre of Edinburgh after almost 100 years, Holyrood Distillery does so with flavour at the forefront. Taking inspiration from the brewing heritage of Scotland’s capital, the distillery base all their spirits around their ‘whisky mindset’.

While their own whisky is maturing the distillery is focussed on producing a range of gins as well as releasing blended malts to preview the styles they are looking to create. followed by the smooth Isle of Skye sea salt in the finish but it’s the Beeswax that sold it for me!Juniper is still undoubtedly the star of the show, but as you add more tonic, it opens up those zesty notes of lemon peel and grapefruit. The original expression was launched in 2021, followed by “Bright” and “Heavy” in 2022, with the latter being an Old Tom style. Information and statements about products are not intended to be used to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

Made just down the road, the Height of Arrows gin from Holyrood distillery strips gin to its core, celebrating the flavour and complexity of juniper. We'll send them to be recycled and you'll save paper, carbon emissions and time at the recycling centre! By focusing on Juniper alone, Height of Arrows showcases all of Juniper’s complex nuances and flavours that range from fresh pine and bold citrus to peppery spice and beyond. The mouth feel evocative of a whisky experience is also achieved through beeswax and salt, lending layers of texture and full bodied flavour to the gin.A UNIQUE RECIPE - Height of Arrows Heavy Scottish Gin is hand-crafted with 4 natural ingredients, roasted juniper, salt, beeswax and sugar. Height of Arrows Heavy is an Old Tom style, so has a touch of sweetener added, post-distillation – in this case sugar.

The distillery has been built in an old train shed at the foot of Arthur's Seat and also includes a visitor experience. All expressions in the Height of Arrows Gin range are stripped back to the core, featuring only juniper, beeswax and salt, lending layers of texture and full bodied flavour to the gin.

Holyrood Distillery is situated next to Holyrood Park, in the heart of Edinburgh’s distilling history, on St.
