About this deal

There are a few bits and pieces here that don’t work, with character inclusions that could have been avoided, but on the whole Hope to Die is a strong read. The tree decorating is barely underway before his phone rings again: a horrific hostage situation is quickly spiraling out of control. Alex is remarkably smooth considering the potential for loss, and the murderer demonstrates a talent for the gory and unlikely when he kills. But the pictures may have been doctored, so with a few close allies, Alex is going to keep his hopes up, and try to find the madman that is haunting his every step.

From his grandmother, Alex Cross has heard the story of his great uncle Abraham and his struggles for survival in the era of the Ku Klux Klan. Now he's hot on the trail of both a brutal killer, and the truth about his own past-and the answers he finds might be fatal. Chances are if you’re a Patterson fan you’ll have read this one already and if not you’re not going to read it, but on the whole, the book still remains an enjoyable read and as usual with this series, a super quick one.Next, the elusive gunman begins picking off other crooked politicians, sparking a blaze of theories: is the marksman a hero or a vigilante? I'll also point out that while this book can stand alone, it's meant to be the second of a two-parter.

But even he is appalled by the gruesome murders of two joggers in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park-killings that look more like the work of savage beasts than humans. I don’t know whether it was because James Patterson wrote this one on his own (instead of having co-authors for previous books in the series), but this book was great. The shocking double homicide is blazed across the internet, TV, newspapers—and across Alex Cross's mind.

Having read and enjoyed his books from the start of his career I have been very dissatisfied in recent years as the Patterson book factory has released book after book concentrating on quantity rather than quality with a varying level of authors talent.

The kidnapper, a known mass murderer and serial killer named Thierry Mulch, is living under a false identity, stalking and infiltrating the home and life of Cross. They were some major holes in this one, but it was a great follow on to Cross My Heart, and I was well convinced that someone may be back on the market for a bit.C., the series follows the Metropolitan Police Department detective as he hunts criminals, solves grisly murders and strives to protect his family. House Cross finds itself back at square one, the same idyllic, perfect-world family whose problems always manage to wrap themselves up by the end of four hundred pages. It's because I was waiting on a book reminiscent of his old writing - you know, before he became the "Rock-Star of Authors". Alex Cross and Jezzie Flanagan are about to have a forbidden love affair-at the worst possible time for both of them.
