About this deal

I think my favorite scene is when Hayes helps Aeris overcome her securities about her body. My goodness, it is both special and also HOT. We stan a man who puts his woman on a pedestal and makes sure she knows it. I loved all of the characters in this book, my favorite scenes in any sports romance is when the fmc hangs out with the team. The guys loved Aeris immediately and the game they played was great 🤭 Oh and love text messages threads between the two characters in any book, it just makes me fall more in love with them. Plus you get more banter 😌 Aeris and Hayes are so good together. Hayes never was mean spirited in him starting a "fake" relationship with Aeris in the beginning. I do believe that he did have good intensions. Therefore, I was a fan of his and only became more of a fan as I got to know him better. Aeris is a feisty FMC. She had be cheering for from the beginning. Together these two brought the steamy goodness. The best time to read a book depends on your personal schedule and preferences. Here are some suggestions:

i have to say i love lila. like can she be my bestie ?! she was the bestest (ik its not a word) friend to aeris and was so supportive and she was getting it on with bristol hehehe I love a fake dating trope, but this one was fun with a twist! In that, Hayes needs to fake date someone to turn around his reputation or get traded to another team, so he starts dating someone without telling her it's fake! But while the fake-dating plot was unique and interesting to read about, I am not sure if I liked how it ultimately played out. I will not say too much, but I think more groveling would’ve helped LOL. I also wish I had felt more of a connection with the characters and that it hadn’t felt so insta-lovey, but it is a relatively short book + a debut, so I get why it might have felt that way to me. When two people couldn’t be more different from one another, would love triumph or would deadly lies tear them apart? Aeris is hesitant to commit to anyone after experiencing heartbreak in the past. by her abusive ex-boyfriend, her brother’s tragic death, and her horrible father. However, she soon learns that Hayes is unrelenting in his Congratulations to Celeste on her debut novel! I loved so much about this book. Hayes came off as a this tough bad boy, but he was a secret cinnamon roll for Aeris and Aeris only! I loved their banter. I will also say that this fake dating scenario is definitely not one I’ve read before- he completely lies to her and leads her to believe they have a real relationship when to him it starts out as fake. Aeris has grown to accept that she’s not destined for what love has to offer, but when Hayes rewrites her fate, she’s thrown into an internal battle that has her stretched between giving love a shot or keeping her distance from the Riverside Reapers’ biggest playboy. Hayes might seem like the perfect guy to help Aeris learn how to love again, but little does she know that he’s harboring a secret big enough to ruin her completely. Details About The Best Kind of Forever However, on the whole, this was an enjoyable, well-executed debut that kept me entertained. I can't wait to see Celeste continue to improve and hone her craft and to see what she comes up with next. Some of the language used to describe the steamy scenes put me off a bit... like "slurp" and labia (I tend to prefer less technical terms) 🫣 Do you ever replace words in your head when you're reading something if you would have personally said something different? I found myself doing that a lot... During the day: If you have a flexible schedule, you may find it helpful to take breaks during the day to read a book. aeris and hayes developed a relationship and their friends were all in support. and team became like a family to aeris. hayes even took her on nice dates and was a good boyfriend. then, the morning after they confessed their love- aeris found out. and she hid the fact that her dad warned her about hayes but i feel like in the grand scheme of things, what hayes kept from aeries was worse than what she kept from him. but i digress.

The public’s perception of Hayes Hollings needs to be polished badly. He’s gotten into fights at bars, drank excessively, and slept with a few too many women. After consulting with his bros, he concludes that a sham relationship is the best course of action. But Aeris Relera and genuine emotion were surprises. Aeris & Hayes were so cute! You see from their first interaction that they understand each other on a different level than anyone else ever has. Aeris has hardly had any support or love given to her in life, and Hayes giving that to her so unconditionally and adoringly was very wholesome to me 🤧 It was also nice to see how much of a simp Hayes becomes after a long-lived bachelor lifestyle — few things are better than a properly reformed player!I related to Aeris so much when it came to her body. The vulnerable scenes between her and Hayes made my heart melt. The way he kept showing and telling her how beautiful she is 😭🫶🏻 Aeris has a past that haunts her and my heart was breaking for her. She meets Hayes one night on a day that is really hard for her. They have a connection immediately and I love that first conversation they have. When Faye Hollings finds herself stranded at a gas station, the first person she thinks to call is the man she’s been secretly in love with for two years. The only problem? Kit Langley is one of her brother’s best friends, and completely off limits. After a traumatic encounter that has her fleeing to California, Faye finds herself in a whirlwind summer romance that tests boundaries, pool water, and how far their desires for one another stretch beneath beating hearts.Aeris has grown to accept that she’s not destined for what love has to offer, but when Hayes rewrites her fate, she’s thrown into an internal battle that has her stretched between giving love a shot or keeping her distance from the Riverside Reapers’ biggest playboy. It took about 15% for me to get used to the writing style. I feel like I wanted more deep conversations between Aeris and Hayes. I just wanted them to have more swoony butterfly moments. I also definitely found it weird that Aeris’ father randomly found out about the fake dating before Aeris. It seemed as if it was super left field. This was also supposed to be a fake-dating trope ?? How? One part was just lying to the other about fake dating them until they actually caught feelings. Fake dating trope is when both parties agree to said fake dating :/ hayes and aeris are both kinda anti relationship and have daddy issues- so perfect for each other. they are very similar in the sense that, unfortunately they have both dealt with a large amount of grief.
